About the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality Maintaining Accreditation Compliance Program

It’s no secret that the accreditation / certification process gets harder and harder each year. The scope and complexity of the regulatory environment taxes even the strongest of organizations. Sometimes it seems like there is no one out there advocating and working for us! That’s why the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ) was created.

The key to membership in CIHQ lies in its tiered structure, allowing healthcare organizations to enlist the level of support that best meets their needs.


Our bronze level membership is for healthcare organizations that need outside assistance to maintain their accreditation / certification readiness, but do not desire or need on-site services. This level of membership provides a well-designed package of internet-based and other multi-media support services at an extremely economical price. Services include:

  • Advocating on behalf of members in working with the Joint Commission and CMS on the development of accreditation standards and regulations.
  • Monthly audio conferences on Joint Commission / CMS hot topics
  • Unlimited phone and email support for standards and regulatory interpretation
  • Unlimited access to CIHQ’ resource library
  • Alerts to changes in standards, regulations, and the survey process
  • Access to continuing education programs

Our silver level membership is designed for healthcare organizations that want an outside review of their survey readiness to compliment their internal efforts. In addition to all bronze level services, silver level members receive an annual mock survey of all accredited programs for each licensed entity. The mock survey can also be used to satisfy Joint Commission requirements for an annual periodic performance review.

Our gold level membership is designed for healthcare organization that desire full services with regular on-site support. Both bronze and silver level services are included in this category. In addition, gold level members also receive additional on-site visits, an annual on-site education program on the standards, regulations and the survey process, and enhanced pre and post-survey support.
